The European turbulence conference gathers every two years the community of scientists involved in the study of turbulence, from fundamental physics issues to applied fluid mechanics – usually over 450 participants. Eight outstanding contributors are the central invited speakers, and 5 sessions are run in parallel.

The first ETC meeting took place in 1986 at the Ecole Centrale, in Lyon. For the 14th edition and 25th anniversary of this very successful event, the Euromech Committee has again selected Lyon.

Note: These rates are for Euromech members. Participants who are not members of Euromech will be charged a supplement of 24€ for the Euromech membership.

The registration fees for participants include:

Payments will be possible by bank transfer or by credit card using our online registration system (TBD). Please note that the payments are due in EURO and all banking costs including exchange rates should be paid by the participant.

CANCELLATION POLICY
A written request for a refund must be received by the meeting secretariat. Refunds are subjected to a processing fee:

  • Before May 31st, 2013 – 25 EUR processing fee
  • Between June 1th, 2011 and July 15th, 2013 – 75 EUR processing fee
  • After July 15th, 2013 – no reimbursement

CHANGE OF PARTICIPANT
Should you be unable to attend the conference, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague at your place. The change can be performed only if you inform us before August 19th, 2013 writing to etc14@ens-lyon.fr.

LETTER OF INVITATION FOR VISA
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa and authorization to attend the conference should contact the organizers at etc14@ens-lyon.fr. Note that the invitation does not financially obligate the conference in any way. Expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the delegate.
