We have recently shown that the nature of turbulence response of a transient channel flow starting from a steady turbulent flow resembles the boundary layer laminar-turbulent bypass transition [1]. In the proposed paper, we will study the effect of the initial Reynolds number on the transition process, focusing on energy growth.
